THE "VILLAGE" PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN NEWBORN TO 20 MONTHS The Village program incorporates the most current research on early childhood development and provides families a special place for learning and networking with other parents and babies through music, movement and sensory stimuli.
In the Kindermusik Village program, your new baby is encouraged to learn through observation, imitation, and play. The high quality, professionally created At-Home Materials Kit includes important information about the Kindermusik "Foundations of Learning" principles based on current research on how to nurture your baby's total development. Village Zoom Buggy & Dream Pillow Units Fall 2010 All the small exchanges between you and your baby in the first years help him/her feel loved and form a core of your baby’s emotional development and outlook on life and learning. How many ways can Baby and Parent zoom in Village? Hop in the Zoom Buggy! and find out! Through a variety of songs, chants, and instrumental selections you and Baby will experience the rumbling of a baby buggy, the squeaky stroller, the bumpa bumpa bumpa of the wagon, the train chugging up the track and much more.
THE "OUR TIME" PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN 18 MONTHS TO 3 1/2 YEARS The Kindermusik Our Time program is designed for children 18 months to 3 1/2 years of age who meet weekly for 45-minute classes and enjoy singing, moving, listening and interacting socially, as well as playing simple instruments along with an accompanying parent or caregiver. During the Our Time program parents and children enjoy bonding and interacting socially with others.
"Music and Movement Story Time" encourages your child's emergent literacy skills. The development of pitch and rhythm promotes musicality, and creative dancing and expressive movement affirm a child's urge to move. Musikandmotion's Fall 2010 curriculum for Kindermusik Our Time
Our Time Milk and Cookies Unit Fall 2010 Imagine the aroma of baking cookies, the coziness of the family kitchen, the chatter among sisters, brothers, grandmas, granddads, mom and dad, and the anticipation and excitement of having friends come to visit. These moments at home are times to be shared and treasured. These special moments are captured in Our Time Milk & Cookies. Home activities such as baking cookies, eating cupcakes, blowing on hot cross buns, wiggling like jelly, going grocery shopping, and making tea are all represented in familiar clasroom songs and activities! Most importantly, Our Time Milk and Cookies songs and activities promote interaction between parent and child where the parent gently guides their child's learning through a process of scaffolding. Capturing the security, excitement and familiarity of "at home" moments is the ideal theme for empowering the parent to act as the child's most importantteacher. What better way for parents to lead their child than with familiar, everyday home activities such as cooking in the kitchen, dusting, and washing clothes with music to guide these activities? Home is where learning truly takes place and where happy memories are made.
THE IMAGINE THAT! PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN 3.5 TO 5 YEARS The Kindermusik Imagine That! program is designed for children 3 to 5 years of age who meet for 45 minutes each week for 15 sessions. "Sharing Time" provides you with an opportunity like no other...a chance to watch your child's musical growth and development unfold right before your eyes. Hello Weather, Let's Play Together Unit Fall 2010 Books, storytelling, language, drama, puppets - these are all essential ingredients to the Imagine That! Curriculum where musical learning takes place in a natural and “playful” setting. Each acts as a dramatic catalyst for integrating thematic songs, activities, events, and feelings. Hello, Weather! Let's Play Together encourages preschoolers to get “outdoors” and make music in all types of weather! Children will explore a variety of musical concepts, continuing their development of musical growth and journey through songs, movements, instrumental exploration and dramatic play. Each child’s contributions are honored and respected in this process-oriented learning environment. Parents attend the last 15 minutes of class.
THE "FAMILY TIME" PROGRAM FOR NEWBORNS TO 4 YEARS Specially designed to fit the varying ages and learning abilities of children newborn to 5 years old, this curriculum will help you bring the learning and the music making home, as well as become a lasting well-loved family favorite of the Kindermusik experience. In this mixed age classroom setting, you and your child attend class together as parents continue to model and contribute to the music making community. But babies and younger children also learn from the social interactions with older peers, while older children are given the opportunity to lead and model for the younger peers. Each child, regardless of his developmental level, participates at his own level in a non-performance, pressure-free music making “family” environment. Musikandmotion's Fall 2010 curriculum for Kindermusik Family Time includes "Home Sweet Home" & "Silly All Over" from ABC Music & Me Units.
Family Time Fall 2010 Home Sweet Home celebrates "homes" from building a pretend house to learning about different kinds of houses animals make. Together we'll sing, dance, explore and learn about the concept of homes. Then, for the second half semester, we'll get Silly All Over with wiggles, giggles and laughs! You and your child(ren) are sure to catch a case of the giggle with us through tickle games, songs, dances and instrumental exploration!
