In this special camp, uncover more ways to say "I love you" using American Sign language, soap bubbles, and parent-baby dances that stimulate Baby's eyes, body and mind. Expose baby to a variety of music in many tones, rhythms, styles, and languages, helping her to relax and strengthen vital neural connections. In classic Kindermusik style, hear new and familiar tunes, including Caribbean, Korean, Maori, and Welsh songs. Parents connect with other newborns and parents/caregivers in this music-making community as well as learn how much musical experiences help to improve the child development process! Creatures in My Backyard encourages you and your child to explore your environment and make new discoveries. Through music, movement, storytelling, and instrument exploration, your child will uncover the creatures living in her own backyard - from birds, turtles, squirrels, and rabbits to flowers, caterpillars, and bumble-bees! THE ADVENTURES "SPLASH! & CARNIVAL FUN" PROGRAM
FOR CHILDREN 18 MONTHS TO 4 YEARS

Whether it's splashing in the ocean or in the bath time, children are sure to enjoy this water & carnival theme unit! We'll "float down the river" in contrasting legato and staccato hula hoops, "row our boats" in round singing in our Bilibos and catch some fish "above the sea" in our giant parachute! Summer wouldn't be complete without a visit to a "musical carnival" where we'll march in a parade and meet the animals at the circus. This camp makes the most of your toddler's and preschooler's emerging sense of pretend play and ability to learn more words and solve problems through music and movement. This exciting celebration-packed curriculum incorporates an integrated learning approach where music is interwoven with movement, art, language, drama, play, and storytelling to produce a tapestry of multi-sensory experiences for the child. With lessons titled Clowning Around, Looby Loo, Carousel, Follow the Leader, and Dancing Colors, children will relish in the celebration and fun they discover. This 5-week camp highlights a whirl wind, imaginary trip around the world--explore the exotic cultures of Germany, Japan, Africa, England, and Mexico through music. Activities incorporate movement, dance, drama, and instruments native to each country as well as arts and crafts such as making decorative African masks and Mexican Pinatas. Ole! New! "Music Play"

This 4-week introductory unit invites families with children birth to 5 years of age to come experience a multi-age, music-based class that weaves the grounbreaking work of this century's most renowned music theorist, Edwin Gordon and his research on musical development in young children (based on "A Music Learning Theory for Newborn and Young Children) to produce a rich tapestry of musically based learning experience for both adults and children.

*Educator Sunny Kira is certified in Early Childhood Music Mastership Certification, Level 1 from The Gordon Institue for Music Learning (Michigan State University, East Lansing).

With a doctorate degree in Music, numerous concert performances, a former university faculty member, a former Kindermusik educator, and currently the music director and organist at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Miss Jean has over 20 years experience teaching piano to students of all ages and all levels. She has created a method of teaching piano that is based on sound proven techniques and theories for children 6 years and up (or earlier if they are ready).
